Well probably about 7 years ago was the first time I went on deviantart. I remember hearing about it from a friend so i went on and started looking around. I had an account but i didnt really draw at the time so i just used it to favorite a bunch of Naruto fanart like a boss. And in the process i found the amazing artist
E-vay . I fell so in love with her art and her naruto next gen characters and after a while I was like HEY why not try drawing my own fanart?? I started off just drawing the Naruto gang in their original styles, i did that for a few years just sort of drawing anime characters, then about 5 years ago I discovered
SpiritLeTitan and the corruption crew talk show. It was like my obsession and my life. I listened to the talk show all the time and i even drew fanart for the corruption crew. At that point i still never really posted art on deviantart (cause i thought i sucked) . Anyway I discovered Spirit and i fell in love with her cartoon-y style and i was like OH MY GOD. So i tried it out myself, drawing in a cartoon-y style instead of an anime style and i really liked it. Thanks to Spirit and friends I somehow found the amazing
burdge . Before finding burdge I just sort of copied other peoples styles, trying to mimic their artistic styles and not really using my own creativity. And Burdge completely changed that, she inspired me so much stylistically and creatively. I started drawing more from my imagination, rather than just copying poses from other art, creating my own OCs, drawing more diverse poses and fanart. It was quite the change. Once I started to develop my own art style I created this account. I started with simple fanarts, usually Naruto, Skins, the Mortal Instruments, stuff life that. I sorta just did my own thing, not really interacting with other artists and then one day i got a lovely message from
choco-junk asking if I was open for art trades. That was literally the best day of my life. It felt so good knowing that people were noticing my art and oh man. Then not long after,
Ally-A-Pally also asked for an art trade and well now she's my bae. I started to get more attention and eventually more confident in my artistic skills. I've also met so many amazing and talented people on here, like my sun and stars
ChaoticAlfredo ,
taniamonroy-s ,
UncommonlyNormal ,
strxbe ,
kenclover and so many others. All of you have inspired me in ways you wouldn't believe and i'm so greatful for that. Like any artist, I learned so much through the years I've been on dA, from all the wonderful tutorials, the all the friendly artists here, i've never felt more at home. Of course i also started doing commissions and such, which was so amazing to know that people enjoyed my art enough to actually pay for it in a sense. As of recently (about a year ago) i discovered the mind blowingly talented
dCTb and i fell so in love with his OC Hana. and I learned so much from him, he gives amazing tips on coloring, poses, anatomy, and animation. In general he is one of my biggest inspirations, he even commented on a drawing of mine once which i'm still freaking out about. Anyway, dA has been so important to me. It's helped me grow as an artist in so many ways and I am so greatful. The community here is just so amazing and friendly and accepting and i couldn't ask for better. Thank you deviantArt for all the wonderful years you've given me and for allowing me to find all these amazing inspirational artists.
My life would suck without you.
